Women have been fighting for equal rights over the years worldwide. There has been some growth in the role of women in society as the world is developing. For instance, in the American culture, the rights of women have emerged such that they have been able to run for elections. However, despite the growth in the American culture, women do not receive the same respect in other cultures globally (Bloom, 2009).
