Reflection: On Looking (Pg. 1-74)

An attribute that stands out in Purpura’s (2006) writing style, which is apparent from the first essay ‘The Autopsy Report’, and that I intend to explore more about in my writing style is the fragmentation of a narrative. Throughout the essays, she uses short paragraphs that appear to be ideas and thoughts that are not directly connected in one flow. The reason I believe I will explore this fragmented style of writing is to let the readers fill in some details of the narrative hence become more engaged.
