What sport?
The choice sport is model car racing. The logic behind this is that according to Avirgan (2020), the women’s football league found investors because it was doing something different (football but for women) but in a familiar way (competitive football sport).
Where (what country? Is it a regional league? Maybe only state-wide?)
The league will be national in the U.S. The rationale is because the U.S. already has a large following for motor car racing such as NASCAR. It would thus be easy to convert the fanbase of those sports to support model car racing. Also, as Avirgan (2020) cautions in the podcast regarding competition, model car racing will work because it does not directly compete with bigger leagues such as NASCAR.
Where do you get your talent?
The talent will be sourced amongst RC car racers that are spread sporadically around the country. RC car racing is popular but there is no unified national league that is consistently played by the same teams. Smaller local leagues have hobby-like events that are attended by anyone who wishes to join. The participants are often RC car enthusiasts and hence getting them to play professionally would be feasible.
