A person has many dice. Most are completely ordinary six-sided symmetrical 2 dice but some of them are prepared to increase the probability of getting a 3a.
Description
A person has many dice. Most are completely ordinary six-sided symmetrical 2 dice but some of them are prepared to increase the probability of getting a 3a. You can not look at the dice whether it is prepared or not. The person randomly selects 3 of their dice and rolls them and notes the number of 3s.
The person in question then repeats this procedure by rolling 3 dice a total of 100 times and has compiled the result in the table.
If three unprepared dice are selected, X = Number of sixes should follow a binomial distribution with n = 100 and p = 1/6. Perform an appropriate test with a 5% significance level to determine if the observations are likely to follow that distribution. Should H0 be rejected? Yes or no.
