Chapter 1

Worksheet 1.1.

I am in college because I need to get the necessary education that will lead to a fulfilling career in business as a serial entrepreneur or a consultant in my community and beyond.

One obstacle is the feeling that I may be ill-equipped for the ambitious journey (including college) towards my career aspiration.

A = Actual Event

I felt that having come from a less-privileged community and with scarce resources at my disposal, I may not be effective in competing in school and generally achieving my career goal.

B = Beliefs

What if I cannot compete well? Do I have everything I need? I must be missing something! This feels like an unfair race!

C = Challenge

I can ask for help in whichever area I feel inadequate. I am well-able of achieving success if I remain determined. I have earned my spot in college and whatever else comes from completing college education. I deserve to be here just as much as anyone else.

This person will be critical in visualizing the project and using logic to connect and explain the different aspects of the work.

Person 2: Auditory learner, Extrovert, Supporter

This person will be an ‘opinion-collector’ for the project as they will be interactive, listen to different options, and show empathy to the people they seek opinions from.

Person 3: Kinesthetic learner, Extrovert, Director

This person will be the project leader with ability to learn by doing, interact and engage with the entire team and direct the team towards specific goals

Me: Kinesthetic learner, introvert, analyzer

I will be important in technical evaluations with ability to demonstrate what is wrong and think through decisions by everyone else.
