Select one of the following options representing an Australian-based project as a practical case study for your thorough research, critique, analysis and report:

  • WestConnex motorway
  • Transport for NSW – Sydney light rail
  • National Broadband Network – NBN rollout
  • Sydney Football Stadium – Lendlease contract termination
  • Apple investment in Australian renewable energy projects
  • Australian Space projects and programs (select up to 2 projects to analyse as case studies)

You may gather information from the electronic news and media channels (e.g. Sydney Morning Herald, Daily Telegraph, 9News, Seven, SBS News, ABC News, CNN, QANDA, Current Affairs etc.), organisational/community e-newsletters, and websites about the Australian project.

Using the cases as a context, consider issues, challenges, and opportunities in the project/program from one or more of the following views:

  • What leaders and team members should understand about themselves and others in order to work together and communicate more effectively
  • What tools and methods might help leaders and team members facilitate shared outcomes for stakeholder groups?
  • How might effective leaders and team members structure and solve complicated and complex problems?
