Biographical Wiki Revision Assignment Instructions

Overview

In this assignment, you will be editing and developing two of your classmates’ Wiki entries on an African American literary figure.

Instructions

Open the Biographical Wiki and select at least two pages for revision. You may revise as many as you wish, but you must revise at least two.

• Do not select your own page.
• Consult and cite at least one additional source using the same guidelines as for the original definition (see original instructions for the Wiki).
• Make revisions and changes that will significantly improve the quality of the biographical sketch and ensure that the significance of the person is clearly explained.
• Include both substantive content revisions as well as writing edits. Add your new reference to the list of references for that item.

New Instructions

For Week 8 Wiki Assignment, students will edit their own Wiki. Students will make some changes to their own original Wiki which include several from the following list: source suggestions, added content, grammar revision, listing and discussing works, how artist impacted his/her genre, etc.  Make sure to edit/add substantial content to your own Wiki by growing the content, fixing any problems/grammar issues with the first one, adding an additional source, etc.
